We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent in our Corporate office located in Buford, Georgia. 

Required Skills

• Must have experience with forecasting and planning
• Must analyze weekly replenishment requisitions through the planning system
• Must be able to analyze demand-based anomalies and ensure real-time proper stocking levels are maintained
• Create and process purchase orders
• Obtain and distribute accurate ETA information to all stakeholders
• Complete GI/GR for all direct shipment purchase orders
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule
• Expedite all open orders with suppliers and enforce lead-time guidelines
• Maintain weekly backorder report
• Develops or assists in the development of documents such as Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Resolve receiving problems
• New vendor set up
• Maintain correct purchase price for all vendors
• Ability to learn the internal process already in place
• Keep all Executive Managers, Team Leads and Program/Department Directors aware of purchasing changes, when necessary
• Complete all necessary reporting and provide financial information for audits
• Must have a solid understanding of forecasting and planning
• 10+ years of purchasing and purchase order experience
• Preferably has SAP experience
• Competitive pay based on experience
